Me: Good afternoon...
Ellen: Hi Cathy, how are you?
Me: Oh, it's Agnes, Cathy's off today.
Ellen: Ohhh, *giggle*, Hi Agnes, it's Ellen, David's wife. How are you?
Me (rushed): He's -- ohhh, gdya-damda-uhh, ahem-- good, you? *uncomfortable giggle*
Ellen: uh-huh... is, uh, David there?
ARGH.
